How to maintain a water heater if it is not used for a long time?

If the water heater is not used for a long time, the maintenance method is as follows: first, the power plug should be unplugged to keep the water heater in a power-off state. This is mainly for safety reasons. If the water heater is not used for a long time but kept in working condition, it will accelerate the aging of the components in the water heater and shorten its service life. Secondly, if the water heater is powered on and in operation, it will inevitably consume electricity, which is an unnecessary waste. Then empty the water from the inner container. Keep the inner tank of the water heater in a non filled state. This can effectively reduce the pressure on the inner liner and extend its service life. (For the method of emptying the water in the inner container, please refer to question 10 for details). Again, if possible, it is best to wrap the water heater in a plastic bag to prevent dust and moisture. If you want to use it again, you should first remember to fill it with water and then turn on the electricity before heating it up, just like the program you started using when you first purchased it.
