Precautions for using gas water heaters

Prevent air leakage: After using the water heater, be sure to close the gas valve. Regularly check whether the gas supply pipeline (rubber hose) is intact, whether there is aging or cracking. Pay attention to regularly replacing rubber hoses. Use soapy water to check for any bubbles at the hose connection and determine if there is any air leakage. Use methods to stop the air leakage. Fire prevention: Flammable and volatile materials are prohibited from being placed around the water heater, and flammable materials such as towels and cloths are prohibited from being placed on the exhaust and gas supply ports.

Fire prevention: Flammable and volatile materials are prohibited from being placed around the water heater, and flammable materials such as towels and cloths are prohibited from being placed on the exhaust and gas supply ports.
Pay attention to maintaining good ventilation: Do not hang items on the air supply and exhaust outlets in the room to avoid poor air circulation. Before each use of the water heater, it is necessary to check whether the windows or exhaust fans in the room where the water heater is installed are open and whether the ventilation is good.
Daily maintenance: Regularly wipe away dirt and grime on the surface with a damp cloth, then dry it with a dry cloth. For dirt that is difficult to remove, use neutral detergent to wipe it off. Check the heat exchanger for dust or dirt every six months and clean it promptly. For plastic products, printing surfaces, spray surfaces, etc., it is not advisable to use strong detergents, gasoline, etc. for cleaning. When there is dirt on the ignition electrode, it should be wiped clean with a dry cloth to ensure ignition quality.
Prevent burns: When using intermittently, pay attention to the temperature of the hot water that initially flows out to avoid burns. During use and immediately after use, the temperature of the water heater itself is relatively high, so do not touch other parts except the knob with your hands.
Accident prevention: When smelling the smell of gas, the gas valve should be immediately closed, doors and windows should be opened, and the gas should be discharged. When the water heater emits black smoke from the upper part during use, it indicates that the heat exchanger is severely blocked or there are foreign objects in the burner. It should be immediately stopped and sent for maintenance. During operation, if flames are found to overflow from the casing or flames are escaping from the lower part, the use should be suspended.
